Shimba Hills Game Reserve – Half Day

After breakfast / lunch drive to the Shimba Hills Game Reserve. Situated 50km South of Mombasa and some 16kms inland, the Reserve has magnificent views over the Indian Ocean to the east and bush country to the west, with rolling hills, tropical stream and waterfalls.

 

You will take a game drive following a network of tracks looking for buffalo, elephant and rare sable antelopes, for which Shimba is famous.

 

Return to your hotel in time for lunch/ evening.

Tsavo East National Park – Full Day

Depart before dawn and drive inland to the vast Tsavo East National Park with game viewing drive en-route to Aruba Lodge / Voi Safari Lodge / Voi Wildlife Lodge arriving in time for lunch. This is an elephant country and also the home of over fifty different species of fauna. Your game viewing drive will follow a network of tracks looking for lion, buffalo, giraffe and other wildlife and will include a visit to Aruba Dam.

Lunch at Aruba Lodge / Voi Safari Lodge / Voi Wildlife Lodge which is set on a hill offering magnificent views of the African plain and Savannah. A further game viewing drive in the afternoon before returning to your hotel in the early evening.

Tsavo East National Park – 1 ½ Days

Day one: After lunch drive inland to the vast Tsavo East National Park with game viewing drive before arriving at Aruba Lodge / Voi Safari Lodge / Voi Wildlife Lodge for Check-in in the evening. This is an Elephant country and also the home of over fifty different species of fauna. Your game viewing drive will follow a network of trucks looking for lion, buffalo, giraffe and other wildlife and will include a visit to Aruba Dam. Dinner and overnight at Aruba Lodge / Voi Safari Lodge / Voi Wildlife Lodge

Day two: Early morning game viewing drive. Breakfast at the Lodge. After breakfast you will go for a game viewing drive before returning to Aruba Lodge / Voi Safari Lodge / Voi Wildlife Lodge for lunch. After lunch drive to Mombasa and arrive at your hotel in the evening.

Leave your hotel early before sunrise driving along the main Mombasa – Nairobi road to Tsavo West National park,
famed for its variety of game, particularly elephants. On entering the park you will be taken on a game drive visiting
Mzima springs – where crystal-clear water bubbles up in deep palm shaded pools, also the playground of Hippos,
crocodiles and tropical fish.

 

After lunch at a lodge/safari luxury tent you may have time for another game drive before driving back to Mombasa
in the evening.

Tsavo East and West National Park – 2 Days

Day 1: Drive along the main Mombasa – Nairobi highway to enter eastern part of Tsavo one of the Kenya’s largest
animal sanctuary famed for its herds of red elephants, being divided into two park – Tsavo east and Tsavo west. On entering the eastern sector- a drive to the Aruba dam to view the hippos, waterbirds and waterlillies. Lunch at the lodge or safari luxury tent.proceed to Tsavo west for an evening game drive in the rhino sanctuary and
overnight at the lodge or safari luxury tent.

 

Day 2: Game viewing in the morning in a different part of the 8000sq mile includes a visit to Mzima spring a playground
of hippos, crocodiles and tropical fish, while the distant and majestic Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the scene if weather permits. Arrive in Mombasa in the evening.

Day 1: Drive from Mombasa on the main Nairobi road to enter Tsavo East National Park – Kenyas largest wild life sanctuary. Lunch at lodge or safari luixury tent and proceeding to Tsavo West and arriving at the lodge or tent with overlooks a waterhole Dinner and overnight.

 

Day 2: After breakfast a morning of game viewing includes a visit to Mzima springs and then drive across the spectacular Shetani Lava Flow to Amboseli game reserve which is dominated by the snow capped dome of Mt Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is best known for its giant lions but contains all the Big Five as well as variety of game and a colourful birds life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or safari luxury tent.

 

Day 3: A final game drive after breakfast lunch en route (Voi town) return to Mombasa in the evening.

Day 1: Drive inland through a thorn-bush country to enter the Tsavo West National park famed for its huge herds of elephants and game viewing including a visit to Mzima springs. Drive to lodge for lunch and to Amboseli game reserve after, across the spectacular Shetani Lava Floor after an evening of game viewing you will spend the night at the lodge or safari luxury tent.

 

Day 2: Before breakfast early morning game drive from 6 to 8 am, back to lodge or tent for a full breakfast then continue with
morning game drive in this reserve best known for all the big 5. Lunch in Nairobi, leaving Nairobi you pass cultivated Kikuyu
lands and then descendt into the great Rift Valley, passing Mt Longonot continuing via Narok to Maasai Mara game reserve. Overnight at the lodge or safari luxury camp.

 

Day 3: Morning game drive in this reserve said to have the greatest convertraction of the kind of beasts in Kenya and it contains almost all types of game. After having a picnick lunch at Narok you finally climb the escapment to reach Nairobi for overnight.

 

Day 4: Spend the early hours of the morning in the city and later drive to Mombasa lunch on the way arriving in Mombasa in the evening.
