Pilli Pipa Dhow Safari

The Arab styled dhow “Pilli Pipa” departs from Shimoni Jetty at 8:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 4.00p.m. The full day excursion provides a fascinating guided snorkelling safari in the famous Kisite Marine National Park near the border of Tanzania.
The park, together with the surrounding islands, has an extensive reef system and is home to crystal clear waters which ensure an exciting variety of coral life and an abundance of vibrantly coloured tropical fish.

This is followed by exhilarating experience of Dhow under sail (weather permitting), on the way to Wasini Island for a memorable seafood lunch. The al-fresco lunch is served with wine, within the grounds of a private property, on this unspoilt Island. From here you can often see dolphins and many varieties of birds as you lunch and relax in these peaceful surroundings.

Numbers are limited, not only to maintain the private nature of this excursion but also to mininise on Kisite’s fragile marine environment.
